Special Live-in Care, Inc. was founded in 1989 in Albuquerque by Margaret C. Fell.  Margaret worked for the City of Albuquerque in the Office of Senior Affairs for several years and contributed to the early design of one of Albuquerque's original premiere retirement communities, La Vida Llena.  With a caring and personal vision of her own, Margaret set out to build a service business that would recruit, train and place non-medical caregivers as live-in companions for people who wish to remain living independently, but require some assistance.  Her educational and professional background in gerontology certainly helped prepare Margaret to build such a company.  But it is her sincere concern for her clients' and employees' well being that makes Special Live-in Care, Inc. so truly special.

To this day, Margaret personally meets every client and carefully selects and trains an employee to service that client's unique needs.  Sensitive to families budgetary needs, she also keeps company overhead, and consequently rates, low.
